“A lion for Alan Turing” limited edition large orange lino art print

£110.00

After watching ‘The Imitation Game’ I created this image in honour of Alan Turing. Raging at both the queerphobia he endured and also the way the film portrayed his autism and took liberties with historical facts, as a queer autistic person I felt moved to make something in response. I don’t know why Turing needs or wants a lion, but here he has one anyway, a power beast for his heroic efforts.

Printed in a mix of arylide yellow and light orange, onto thick vegan archival Fabriano art paper. Limited edition of nine, five of which are allocated for some of my Patreon patrons. Signed, numbered and dated. Printed in my studio on a Rollaco Cachet etching press in 2023.

The closest image to the actual colour is the first image of the whole of the print.

Print size approx 20 x 30cm; paper size approx 28 x 38cm (just under A3). Unmounted, carefully wrapped in cellophane and posted flat, recorded delivery. UK buyers: please give an address where this item can be signed for. Free postage in UK.
