“Grief” – original mixed-media oil stick painting on paper

This is an originial one-off collage with oilstick and liquid watercolour of a large black crow with a smaller crow in its belly. It is surrounded by hand-written stream-of-consciousness thoughts of my own about grief, smudges oils and inks, an acrylic gold sun and a clipping from Glastonbury Oracle.

My crows are crows of chaos, death, gleeful deviance – they are the strange madness that lurks in the cracks of heteronormative structure.

The work is on paper, is 297mm x 420mm (A3)  and is posted flat and unmounted, wrapped in glassene paper ready for framing.
